Simulation studies
You bring a question your process or product depends on. We run it as a fixed-scope study and send back numbers with their uncertainty, the compromises we made to get them, and the right to use the results as your own. Quote before any run.
Three areas today
- Semiconductor process materials. Grown and deposited films: oxide thickness and growth rate, interface width and roughness, crystallinity and grain size layer by layer, defect counts, dopant diffusion, tribo-oxides and wear. Reactive molecular dynamics. On your own machines when the deck cannot leave the building.
- Drug discovery and delivery. Ligand pull-off force, residence time, binding free energy, nanoparticle wrapping and adhesion, peptide conformation, ranking a set of compounds against one receptor. OpenMM on hosted GPUs.
- Mineral processing and critical metals. Molten-salt conductivity and transport, speciation in a melt or a brine, impurity tolerance of an electrolyte, ligand selectivity across metals, flotation collector adsorption, rare-earth magnet substitution energetics. Molecular dynamics and density functional theory.
Something else? Describe it in the form. If we cannot run it, we say so in the reply.
What a study is
- A quote first. We reply with the scope, the method, what the method cannot capture, and the price. Nothing is run and nothing is charged before you agree.
- A grid, not one run. Compositions, temperatures, rates or ligands laid out so the answer is a trend, not a single number.
- Numbers with their uncertainty. Repeats and seeds, the spread stated.
- The compromises on the front page. Every approximation we made is written beside the result.
- Your results. The numbers, the inputs and the trajectories are yours to use as your own. We name no client without written permission.
The platform: ForceField Loom
Studies run on ForceField Loom, our workbench of three simulation engines made for AI agents. DFTEngine for the bond, MDEngine for the material, FEEngine for the part. Each works on its own. Together they share one viewer, one build tab and one run list.
- MDEngine. Molecular dynamics with LAMMPS and OpenMM. Mac and Windows apps, a command-line tool, an MCP server and a hosted GPU tier. Public today at forcefieldsilicon.com/mdengine.
- DFTEngine. Density functional theory with CP2K underneath. Single-point energies, relaxations, bond scans and strain series for elastic constants, from a prototype, a CIF file or a molecule in a box. We run it for your study.
- FEEngine. Finite elements with FEniCSx and CalculiX underneath: linear elastic, J2 and Johnson-Cook laws, cohesive interfaces, meshes from gmsh. We run it when the question reaches the part.
The apps are free. Hosted runs are paid per run. Teams that want the platform on their own machines, with our analysis tools and support, license it from us. Pricing is set per client.
How it goes
- 1. You write. The question, the material or system, the decision it feeds and the timeline. The form takes two minutes. Email works too.
- 2. We scope. A scope and a quote, usually within two business days.
- 3. You agree. We run the grid, on our GPUs or on your machines.
- 4. You get the report. The numbers, the uncertainty, the compromises, the inputs. We walk you through it in one call.
Who runs it
ForceField Silicon is the software brand of Gitinama Inc., a Delaware corporation registered in Massachusetts. Code signatures, invoices and receipts carry the legal name Gitinama Inc. The studies are run by the people who wrote the engines, with their own published research behind them.
